My biggest ambition, in 1959 at age 5, was to grow up and wear a strapless gown, just like the Lennon Sisters.
Grow up I did, but I never wore the strapless gown. Is it too late?

I remember being required to add straps, lengths of 2" wide ribbon, in order to wear a prom dress in about 1962. The bra required was an instrument of torture even though I wasn't curvy enough to even need a bra. I wonder if the strapless gown brought about wrist coursages.
