I liked the "La Pensee" printed textile its really cool.Wish i could buy it.I would like to see more products in the future.

Your post about the textile developments under Poiret are very interesting to me. I am researching a batik artist by the name of Ethel Wallace. Wallace was a resident of Bucks County PA and also had a studio in NY. Early in the 20th century she painted a portrait of Poiret (which I own). Wallace gained great fame for her batiks and I have been attempting to establish a link between her work and the textiles utilized by Poiret in his designs. For no other reason than my intuition I truly feel he must have at least considered her batiks. You by chance haven't run across anything about Ethel Wallace in your sample book?

Most of the textile samples are unlabeled; the Martine swatch above is a rare exception. We have only been able to date samples via extensive staff research. There are literally hundreds of swatches, so this is a slow process. We haven't come across any prints by Ethel Wallace, but we haven't finished researching all of the swatches. Do you have some examples of her work?
