When I first met Kevin and learned about the FIDM museum, the thing that excited me the most was the study collection. Antique and Vintage clothing that was available to use in class room study so that the students could not only see in person the fashion of the past but they could learn from the construction of those garments and take inspiration from them. I asked Kevin if I could donate to that collection. We soon became friends and he began to ask me to help find rare and unusual items. This opened a whole new world for me. I have always loved the thrill of the hunt. All I need is a description of what an item looks like, how it was constructed
and what fabrics it would be made of, and with my contacts that range from one side of America to the other and around the world I am able to track down things I did not even know existed. Because of the FIDM Museum I have a broader education of what fashion is. Thank you Kevin and thank you FIDM for letting me be a part of educating the future with the history of the past.
